I have just installed Affinity Photo on my desktop in Windows 10 Home x64 & on Affinity startup it says my graphics card needs to support directx10 to run at its optimum speed. My motherboard is an Asrock G31M-GS with onboard graphics Intel graphics media accelerator 3100, pixel shader 2.0, DirectX 9.0

DirectX 12.0 seems to be the current setup in Windows. This to me would be a later version. Do I need to upgrade the graphics?

Hi Freewheeler,

Welcome to the forums :)

Affinity requires Direct X10 and above to use your graphics chip for rendering, without this we revert to Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform (WARP) fallback. This is not a recommended way of running Affinity, as performance will certainly be impacted.
