It sounds like you sent your email sometime on Friday? If so, they've had at most 1 business day, and possibly less than that depending on when you sent it and what timezone you're in.

A couple more comments:

  1. Serif can only provide a refund if you purchased directly from them. If, instead, you purchased from the Windows Store, or the Apple Store, or iTunes, you will need to contact them to arrange a refund.
  2. The Serif applications for Windows and MacOS have a 10-day free trial that you could have downloaded and tried, rather than purchasing. Many applications do that, so it's a good idea to look for a free trial option before buying, in the future.

Refunds seem not to be problematic.

You don't have to worry.

I requested a refund on 2019-01-05, a saturday, and got my money back on 2019-01-08. So it took just two business days.

I found we still had a "Christmas backlog" autoreply active (my bad) ... We now have a better auto-reply to AffinityReturns@serif.com, with the team opening hours more explicit.
