Paul Cotton Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 example.afphotoI am trying to change the colour of a child's garment from a light brown to an ivory taken from an adjacent garment worn by another in the photo. However, I can not find a way of adjusting the colour 100% without losing the underlying texture of the garment. When I attempt to use the colour replacement brush all I get is a greenish tint. All very frustrating. Surely it is possible to change the colour without losing the underlying texture of the garment.......? Any help would be most appreciated. Quote

firstdefence Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 You could try Filters > Frequency Separation, once applied, turn off the Low frequency, create a new pixel layer and sample the dress colour then paint onto the pixel layer that should be placed below the High Frequency layer to maintain the texture of the garment. carl123 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Add a pixel layer, change the blend mode to Soft Light Paint on pixel layer with whatever colour best matches what you want The texture should be maintained Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
