Monet
I'd like to be able to sample a trial version of both Affinity Photo for PC/Mac AND for iPad to test how files can sync. I have the trial for the computer but am reluctant to spend the $20 for the iPad app just to try it out. If the trial verisions show me that Affinity Photo does what I need, then I'll gladly buy both items. :)
Staff stokerg Posted January 11, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 11, 2019 Hi Monet and Welcome to the Forums, We don't currently have a trial version of the iPad app. All i can suggest would be checking a local Apple Store and seeing if they have it installed on their iPads and you'll be able to have a play around with it. Monet
Thanks for the quick response! I'm a bit far from the nearest Apple store, and even if I could go there, I wouldn't be able to test out Affinity Photo's ability to sync between the iPad and desktop versions. Most iPhone (and Android) apps have a free version, even if it's a bare-bones, that at least allows a user to sample before buying. If I was able to try your iPad app in a free version, I'd know in three minutes if it could do what I wanted and I'd immediately purchase the full versions (iPad and computer). That's just my two cents. Hope you can get a trial iPad version up soon. Bet you'd get a ton more bites and sales.
Pinkangel
Totally agree with this person's point! Even Lightroom has a free basic version you can use to see if you like it first! Shame, am quite interested in Affinity for iPad but won't spend £20 on something I can't try to see if it suits first 😔
alex_garmash
I agree with you guys. Would be super-helpful to just play around for a few days with all the functions. Otherwise its a cat in a sack....:(((
dvoth
While not giving you a trial, there are some tutorial videos that you could have a look at. Alireza
I totally agree with the comments. I am a basic user that does not use photoshop. I wanted to try the app on iPad to see if it works for my needs and to buy it afterwards. Of course it is hard to pay 20 euros only to try it. Having a trial version makes it much more popular guys! Consider it :)
