If you mean the Swatches Studio panel, you can click on the 4 line 'hamburger' menu icon on the top right of the panel & choose "Large" from the "Appearance" menu item.

Here is how I solved the problem. I spent the time to create a designer file and saved it as a jpg which I imported into my work area, I don't have to keep searching for the tone ore can easily see if the colours are working. I just happen to be doing an illustration with stones.
