Overflow icon for text frames only visible at certain zoom or height of text frame

Recommended Posts

Pretty self-explanatory the title? If a text frame with overflowing text has a height of 7 mm the triangle for overflow will be visible at a zoom of about 211%. At a zoom of 100% the triangle vanishes at a height of 14,6 mm.

I do not want to compare too much with Indesign, but there the overflow icon is visible even at 5% zoom. It would save some (small) time if Publisher would behave like Indesign in this case.

If it helps, when you enable View > Show Text Flow you should see an overflow indicator for any non-selected text frame at any zoom level where at least one side of the frame is visible on the window. There would be a red dot on the left and another on the right, replacing the usual link icon.

It only shows if there is room for it. For small frames, we give priority to the handles that are used to resize it instead.

Which is probably a good priority :)

Perhaps the bounding box color could be changed when the overflow indicator can't be shown?
