Distribute and snap objects

Recommended Posts

In a UI design program like Figma or Sketch, I get measurements between objects and it snaps automatically so that there is equal spacing. I noticed this wasn't out of the box in Affinity Designer. Is there a way to enable it?

Hi, fandy,

Note the little magnet icon in the top bar. That turns snapping on and off. The pop-down menu to the right offers the different snapping options. One can also enter numbers for vert. and horiz. distributions from the alignment button just a bit to the left. I don't exactly recall, but I think I had to add that button to the bar.

I wanted to know is there a way to see in real time the measurements between objects like in Sketch, in Sketch we just have to hold alt (option) on MAC and I see all measurement from an object and in relations with others can we do this in Affinity Designer?
