Huntclark
Is there a way to sharpen only the Lightness channel of an image in Lab mode?
Staff Dan C Posted January 10, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 10, 2019 Hi Huntclark, Welcome to the forums You certainly can! If you open the Channels Studio and select the Composite Lightness channel, you can apply an unsharp mask to this layer only, then re-enable the other channels. I've attached a quick video recording showing this in action, along with a duplicate image with the unsharp filter applied to all channels to show the difference! (left is L channel only, right is all) LAB Unsharp.mp4 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
