The Alps (maybe)

Sunset

Recommended Posts

I was practising my handwriting and trying to get a noticeable effect with the pressure sensitive stylus (it is there on "the sound of music" but not very obvious, I'd like a more pronounced effect) and I thought that my words looked like the top of some mountains. Two quick shapes and a few brushes later, including a 'set in target' which I remembered from Dale's mini video the day before - nice one - and I have my first, well, first something/1

Getting this program to do what I want, now :) and I've changed the colour format so my PDF will look OK.

Hi Hilary,

Select your red lines and then go to the Line page - now click 'Properties' and change the 'Size jitter' to be a higher value - this will allow the pressure variance to have more effect on the width of the line :)

Nice drawing, incidentally - I like the snowy mountains! :)

Hope that helps,

Matt

Thanks, I'll try that :) It's a great learning curve and, from my point of view, I'm looking forward to some tutorials eventually. The three videos in the tutorials section have all been tried and tested :)

Yay, I've sorted out the size and flow jitters, sometimes my lines look fantastic but smooth down to much, sometimes they stay as they are and I'm getting a feel for it all, velocity seems to make a difference, but I'm getting good results. Just for fun, a picture of a jitterbug :)
