Roland Dicke
Hello, I have photos of a panoramic camera and would like to break it down into individual pictures. Can I do that with Affinity Photo? We have a drone that takes these shots to control roofs for leaks. Axamles are attached.
Staff Dan C Posted January 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 8, 2019 Hi Roland Dicke Unfortunately there's no way to 'break apart' a panorama in Affinity, you could select and cut areas of the image and create new documents from these, then export them to JPEG but there is no automated system for this. My apologies! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Roland Dicke
Ok... how can I get to the parts to copy them out... that could help... Thanks for your quick help ... Staff Dan C Posted January 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 8, 2019 If you open the image in Affinity, then use the rectangular marquee tool you can select a portion of the image and use CTRL/CMD + C to copy this to clipboard. Then use File>New from clipboard, this will create a new file using only the section previously copied and this can be exported as a new image file. Please see my quick video below showing this - New From Clipboard.mp4 I'm glad to hear it! v_kyr
If you open the image in Affinity, then use the Export persona and Slices, use the rectangular select slices tool you can select multiple portions of the image as slices and then export those as a buch of image files in different file formats all at once! Roland Dicke
well .... I think it dosn't work in the example because it's a 360-image --- :-(
v_kyr
Yes undistort a 360° image will be very difficult here. - However you can take a look over the video tuts index here ... Official Affinity Photo (Desktop) Video Tutorials ... those about distortion correction and 360 editing, perspective projection etc. maybe you can reuse something from there for what you have in mind.
