Jobst
Hi, This program has the potential to become a Photoshop-killer. It is neat and offers lots of possibilities, but I didn’t find a line-tool. I would suggest to put it into the container for rectangle tool. Kind regards Jobst
Staff MEB Posted April 5, 2015 Staff Share Posted April 5, 2015 Hello Jobst, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can use the Pen Tool to draw straight lines. You can also switch the mode to Line Mode in the context toolbar to draw exclusively straight lines with it. Jobst
Yes, you can draw a single line with the Pen Tool. But it becomes complicated, if you want to draw 2 parallel lines, for example. With the Pen Tool these lines become connected, and I don’t know how to avoid this
Staff MEB Posted April 7, 2015 Staff Share Posted April 7, 2015 Just press ESC, and the pen will start a new line. To quickly duplicate the line change to the Move tool select it then press ⌘ (cmd) and drag a duplicate. JustRob
I've also been wondering about drawing straight lines, so this info has helped. Thanks
