Batch resize: longest & shortest side

Recommended Posts

A nice feature of IrfanView is if you resize in batch processing you can tell it what the longest or shortest side should be in pixels.

This is useful if you mix landscape and portrait photos, but you want them all to be 3000x2000 pixels regardless of the orientation.

Is that possible in Photo? It does not look like that.

My macros for resizing to a fixed maximum size may be what you want.

Wow, nice work. Thank you for your effort.

This will get the job done in the meantime.

I still suggest that Photo brings this as basic functionality with it. It could be integrated with a dropdown after the width & height fields to add more control how it should behave.
