chrisv
When I create a document and import images into it I usually import the images as linked images. Sometimes I subsequently move these images into a different folder. When I re-open the document I will then get a message. "Some of your linked resource files are missing. Would you like to relocate them?" This is standard behaviour in InDesign however in that program the images with broken links are marked. I can't see anyway to identify the images with broken links in Publisher. Not sure if I'm missing something or if this has not been implemented yet. Staff MEB Posted January 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 4, 2019 Hi Chris, Welcome to Affinity Forums Go to menu Document ▸ Resource Manager... to manage linked/embeded image/resources. Look for the status column in the list to identify missing images/resources. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
chrisv
Thanks, I didn't realise that menu item existed. It might be helpful if when the message "Some of your linked resource files are missing. Would you like to relocate them?" appears that there was a link to the Resource Manager in the pop up. I don't know if that's possible or not.
Staff MEB Posted January 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted January 4, 2019 When that message appears if you click YES a Finder window will appear for you to locate the missing resource imediately. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
chrisv
Clicking on Yes I get an Explorer window to my files. I would it more useful if the Resource Manager opened then I could see all the images that weren't properly linked. SimonF
