Skegg Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Just did a pc restart and after that every time I try to use Export command both programs crash, it created crash files which I sent to Affinity. 1.6.5.123 Any help appreciated, Thanks, Timo Quote
Dan C Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Hi Skegg, Welcome to the forums Sorry to hear it, could you confirm, is the crash happening when opening the export panel, or when actually exporting your file? Does this happen regardless of file type on export? It may help to reset your app to default, you can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open. Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc. To backup such settings before resetting the app, please watch our Affinity - Exporting User Settings and Keyboard Shortcuts video. https://vimeo.com/189596577 Quote
Skegg Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 Hi Dan Thanks for the quick reply. It happens when opening the File tab and hitting Export, regardless of the file type I´m trying to export. I´ll try to do the reset. Thanks, Timo Quote
Skegg Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 Resetting the app did not help, it still crashes. Both Photo and Designer. Quote
Dan C Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Thanks for letting me know, I'm very sorry to hear this. Does this happen on a new, blank document? Could you please upload your crash reports from the following folders? %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0\CrashReports %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports Quote
Skegg Posted January 4, 2019 Author Posted January 4, 2019 I tried a blank document and yes it crashed. Here are the crash reports from the folders you requested. Dan C Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Thanks for trying and confirming that for me, I've forwarded your crash reports through to our devs and I'll update this thread asap with their response. Quote
Skegg Posted January 5, 2019 Author Posted January 5, 2019 Ok, I updated to latest W10 and it seems everything is back to normal. Thanks you for your help. Quote
Dan C Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Thanks for letting me know, our crash logs showed that we we're getting an 'Access Denied' error when writing to the temp directory. I'm glad to hear the Windows update has solved this! Quote
