Gregory-CJ
Here is a detail of a golden Tiara worn by Mother Divine in the latest painting that I am presently working on. It's painted in Affinity Photo and although the comments are Affinity Photo specific, this approach to digital painting can be done in any digital painting program. Comments welcome. gdenby
Hi, Gregory-CJ Good tute. A small crit. Ambient light would most likely have reduced the darkness at the sides of the corona. Specifically, the bit of emerald at the image left is surrounded by dark that seems to me way to contrasty. Gregory-CJ
Good eye gdenby! Yes, I agree. I think the adjusting the lights in that area will make in more believable. Although this 2D asset (tiara /corona) , when viewed in the context of the whole painting is quite small and this darker area really won't have too much of a negative impact on the whole painting. Having said that, I will make that change..... moving art to perfection! and thanks for your comments.... much appreciated!
