Rishi
Hi, I want to rig up a PC for Affinity, based in how many parallel cores and threads Affinity can utilize please suggest Intel based HW configuration that will run Affinity Photo smoothly without breaking the bank. Cheers and have a very happy new year. Rishi
firstdefence
How much can the bank afford before it breaks? Max funds is the deciding factor here, the max affordable expenditure is the framework within which we can work else you'll be getting spec's for 2 x 12 core Xeon CPU's and 64GB of RAM Quote iMac 27" 2019 Somona 14.3.1, iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... hifred
The Affinity range for Windows at this point isn't particularly performance-optimized yet - it thus far doesn't use GPU acceleration at all. Even on strong hardware with many CPU cores you will therefore see lags in operations which make the viewpoint redraw frequently. I7 6850K, GTX 1070, 32 GB RAM Quote [Poll] Do you need a DAM?
