Reset Bounding Box equivalent in Affinity PHOTO

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, this is my first time posting! I have only been trying to use affinity Photo for a couple of days having been an Adobe user for about 11 years I think! So... please forgive me if this is a silly question, or if this has been covered multiple times before! I'm a complete newbie to this!

Basically, what I'm trying to do is the equivalent of 'reset bounding box' on illustrator BUT on Affinity Photo (not designer). In the attached screenshot, you'll see I've rotated my object to make it level (ish) with the horizontal guide I've put in place.... what I'd like to do is have the bounding box straightened too as it's driving me a little crackers visually when I select it!

I understand the reason for this is that it remains editable and that presumably somewhere it tells you how many degrees it's been rotated by but... I'm finding it quite annoying to look at! Is there an easy way around this?

FWIW, that 'somewhere is in the Transform panel.

Sorry for the delay in my reply! I didn't think anyone had responded! :221_see_no_evil:

Ah great! Thanks Pšenda I'll give that a go! Frustrating that it's only a temporary fix though! Hopefully they'll alter it at some stage! :)

If you rasterise the layer ( Layer > Rasterise ) it will reset the bounding box permanently

But the text will no longer be editable
