Paolucci Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Hi. Love Affinity. I just upgraded Ram from 8 to 32 on a new Mac Mini 2018. I see in preferences that my ram usage limit is 8192. Warning limit at 32768. Does that sound fine? Usage limit seems a little low. Thanks. Quote
firstdefence Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 the 32768 is for disk usage not RAM, the 8192 is probably because you had 8GB, you can slide it up to 16GB but I doubt you'd get that far unless you're doing some heavy editing. I have 32GB in my 2015 iMac and it never gets much above 12GB even with all my other apps. Paolucci Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 Good. Sometimes i have hundreds of layers and might get up to 500Mb. Sounds like I should tweak it on the fly according to my other different software usage like video editing, although it would be rare for me to run both at the same time. Quote
