I have just switched from PS and am finding a lot of things similar and many easier with Affinity.  I somehow did something however and now the Persona Bar is gone.  I have gone into view and ticked tools not change.  I did tick the Context toolbar which at least gave me that back but the rest of the the Persona bar is gone.   I am on a MacBook Pro if that makes any difference.   Any suggestions or help?  Thanks so much in advance.

Go to the "View menu" then check "Show Symbol bar", the sixth one from the bottom, below the Context toolbar entry.

I know the OP figured it out, but for the benefit of others looking for help with this, shouldn't that say "Show Toolbar"?

On a german language system, like mine here, it reads like this and says Symbolleiste not Werkzeugleiste (thus I translated it to Symbolbar not Toolbar)!

For what extremely little it is worth, Google Translate says the German word "Symbolleiste" translates to "toolbar" in English ... but going the other way, it says the English word "toolbar" translates to the German word "Werkzeugleiste." :S

"Symbolleiste" is a compound word "Symbol" + "Leiste", like "Kontextleiste" is too. And "tool" in english is usually translated as "Werkzeug" and not "Symbol" in german. Instead an icon can be named to be a "Symbol" in german. - So they probably used the word "Symbol" here in the german UI to distinguish it from the left hand tools or maybe they tried to name it in german like "Iconbar" (Symbolleiste) instead.

Bing Translator is more consistent. It says the German word "Symbolleiste" translates to "Toolbar" in English, and going the other way it says the English word "toolbar" translates to the German word "Symbolleiste."
