Vaughn771
When moving an image around within an image frame, I can make the reference lines disappear. See attached. Side note - I am absolutely thrilled that you folks (Affinity) are taking this project on. Kudos. textframe.mp4
hawk
Hi Vaughn771, and welcome to the forums! What is happening here is that when you click that arrow-cursor button, it automatically selects the image layer itself and switches to the Move tool. The reference frame is a feature of the Picture Frame tool and and only shows when a (Picture Frame) layer is selected. Perhaps the Picture Frame tool should remain active and the reference frame could work with image layers directly, but I'm not sure what ramifications that could have for other use cases. I, for one, don't see any significant differences between the Picture Frame tool and the Move tool when an image layer is selected. ♥️Affinity v2; macOS 14; ⌨️🖱; recreational user since 2014. Chris_K
Hi Vaughn771 This is working as hawk describes which is the expected behaviour and the same when moving any object placed within another (which is essentially what a picture frame is) Cheers Serif Europe Ltd - Check the latest news at www.affinity.serif.com
Vaughn771
OK - then I guess this isn't an issue but a feature request. As long as one has selected to show the guides, then having a wireframe of the main object (picture frame or whatever) can only be helpful to show. Cheers!
