krazybov
Just downloaded the trial and having a play around with it. The tools I miss from adobe illustrator are the blob brush and live paint. I did a quick forum search and there doesn't seem to be many people suggesting the same tools for the desktop version. They are not on the roadmap so how likely are they going to make it into a future release? Affinity Designer is a great programme and I can achieve the same results without these tools but they would be a HUGE time saver and a deal sealer for me as an illustrator. krazybov
Okay, okay, I bought it Any chance they could make it onto the pre-roadmap list?

The published roadmap is for version 1. Anything on that list should be provided in a free update, but any other suggested features could be added in a paid-for upgrade (i.e. version 2, 3, 4, etc) if it fits in with Serif’s plans for the app. Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
krazybov
Quoted from the Affinity Designer feature roadmap: "The idea is the list will never get longer. As we complete and release features then we will replace those features with new ones." I'm very new to Affinity so I do not know how often versions get released or when features get replaced on the roadmap. The forum post was from 2014 but I cannot see if it was edited after that. I am guessing that arrowheads would surely make it on there soon, judging by how many people want it.
Jimmey
I would also love to see a Blob Brush type tool added especially to the iPad app version of Designer. I think we speak for a lot of designers and illustrators that it would be very well received.
