How to translate this Photoshop tip to Affinity Photo

Recommended Posts

Many of us came to Affinity Photo from long years of working with Photoshop. I don't know about you guys, but we're so glad for the Affinity tools we now use!

Although many of the tools, features, and keyboard shortcuts in Affinity Photo bear a resemblance to those found in Photoshop, they're not always exactly the same. Once you become embedded in Affinity Photo, it almost becomes like speaking a different "language." Many things are easier in Affinity Photo, but other things are simply... different.

I recently came across a 1-minute video on YouTube demonstrating how to use Photoshop's Hue/Saturation tool remove red blotches from a face. I thought to myself, "This can definitely be done in Affinity Photo, but the HSL adjustment tools are not precisely like those in the Hue/Saturation tool in Photoshop. For example, is there a way to select specific color values with the HSL tool in Affinity Photo?

How would you go about translating this tip into the language/tool set of Affinity Photo? And is it as quick and easy for you as this Photoshop tip seems to be? I'm interested in reading the variety of ways we come up with. :)

(NOTE: The sample image he uses is freely downloadable directly from a link in the description of the video on YouTube.)
