When using the paint or eraser tools on the iPad is there anyway of showing where I am drawing? Like on the laptop (Image below)?

Try adding a stabiliser, see below.

Affinity Photo 1.8, Designer 1.8, Publisher 1.8 on MACOS Catalina and Windows 10.
Affinity Photo 1.8, Designer 1.8 on iPad Pro 9.7" iPadOS 13.5 beta.

No. The iPad does not have a mouse cursor like the desktop. You can use Paul’s suggestions (although there was a bug affecting rope stabiliser (which may still exist).

If you turn on Show Gestures in General Settings you will get a blue circle the centre of which will be the centre of your brush stroke. It is too large as shown in Paul’s screen recording but does give some indication of brush positioning.

Hopefully Serif will address this shortcoming as apps such as Procreate and Artstudio Pro seem to handle this better at the moment.

IPad Pro 10.5/512GB   lpadOS 13.5.1   Affinity Photo 1.8.3 .180   Affinity Design 1.8.3.2 Publisher for iPad (2020?)
