rjramjet Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 When I save a file in photo, there is no preview, just generic affinity logo with the filename with .afphoto as the extension. Is there a way to save the file with a thumbnail preview? If I EXPORT the file as a png, the preview is distorted when viewed in Adobe Bridge (see attached) Quote

rjramjet Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 Thanks. I am on an iMac using 10.9. I have checked Preference>General and Save Thumbnails is checked but I still just get the Affinity logo on all .afphoto files, even after resaving them and REFRESH on Bridge. Refresh did fix the distorted preview for png fles. Quote
Staff Lee D Posted December 28, 2018 Staff Posted December 28, 2018 If you don't have thumbnail previews in Finder on macOS right click on one of the .afphoto files and select Show View Options > make sure Show icon preview is ticked. When you have a thumbnail preview, unticking will revert to the app icon. We include a QuickLook preview generator that Finder uses. Perhaps Bridge should be falling back to using that if they have an unknown file format. Quote
rjramjet Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 That's all set properly. The Previews show fine in the Finder - it's just Bridge that they don't show in. I found a couple of references about previews in Bridge. Tried increasing the cache size and increasing the size of thumbnail builds. Seems the only files this happens with is afphoto extensions. Not a game breaker but would be nice to see the previews as I use Bridge all the time for organizing my photo files. Quote
