Pixel Preview Size

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I know you missed me ;)

Ok so, tweaking with my design between pixel previews (which is really neat BTW), I am usually switching between Pixel Drawing vs Retina Drawing mode.

What would be very very good is to get the final size in pixel of the shape.

Right now, I have a retina shape which in retina is 8x12.5px as shown in "transform" tab.

So I know it will be 16x25px in retina export, BUT in Pixel mode, every half pixel will be rendered with a full pixel half opacity or according to the algorithm used.

In this case, it could be great to have the full size of the pixel version. Like 8x12.5px will probably be 8x13px in the final export.

Could be very usefull to have this information while we switch between pixel mode on the fly.

Retina size: XxY px

Pixel size: UxV px

I know that a best practice is to have only even size (and that's why I am retouching it ;) ) but that would be usefull anyway. :)

Actually it would really be benefical even for retina as you can have shapes with 12.7px or weirdo stuff like that as it's all vectorial.

So make sense to have the "final" or "export" size available on the fly when switching between pixel mode :)

Even better, could be great to have a warning on the fly if the retina version is not twice the size of the regular version.

So you know you have to tweak the vector version !

Would be a life saver for UI stuff.
