Use middle mouse to pan?

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to use the middle mouse button to pan? I know that I can use the H hotkey to get the hand tool, but I would like to just be able to temporarily toggle the hand tool without losing the current tool that I am working on.

Let me know if you need further clarification. Thank you!

If it’s a Windows PC you can press the middle button down and pan. Not sure about a Mac

The spacebar temporarily selects the Hand Tool so you can drag to pan. Release the spacebar and the previous tool is selected.

Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions.

so I am using a trial version. Could that be the issue?

NO doesn't play any role features are the same. If it is a mouse with a middle mouse wheel try to press that left/right if the mouse supports it.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan

I have mouse and touchpad in use at the same time (PC).  I have verified that three-finger-click activates properly middle mouse, -for example in my chrome browser- and produces the exact same results as mouse does.

With mouse, holding the middle buttonallows correctly to pan picture. HOWEVER, three-finger-click and hold does not activate pan with the touchpad. Should this work or should I create a ticket/feature request?

P.S: thanks for the space trick, didnt know that!
