Pixel layer in a group of adjustments act as a mask for the whole group?

Recommended Posts

As the title says. Is it a bug or a (dumb) feature?

i have some adjustments grouped toghether. If I add a pixel layer in the group (a radial gradient) then all the adjustments are applied only to it if they are above it. Why??

This is how the layers panel is designed, any adjustments will only be applied to objects above it. I recommend checking out the following video on layers to find out more - https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/photo/ipad/video/286346821

In terms of your video, this is also how grouping is designed. Grouping the pixel layer and adjustment will cause the adjustment to only affect the grouped pixel layer, and not the filled layer beneath it. I hope this helps!
