I have been able to recreate this over and over so I am not sure if it's a bug or a "feature"

I have a design in Affinity Designer. I wanted to scale the whole thing up by 300%. I have done it with the transform handles and also typing 300% in the width box in the transform panel.

In the Stroke panel if the "Scale with object" box is unchecked everything is fine. If the box IS checked it breaks my linked symbols.

I am pretty new to using Designer so maybe this is working as intended but it not then I guess it might be a bug. I can provide a screen grab if needed.

That doesn't sound right too me, I certainly wouldn't consider it a feature.

Just made a simple file drew a rounded rectangle, created a circle with a stroke (scale with object checked), made that a symbol and dragged another instance of it into the file, selected all and resized, strokes scale and when I change the colour of the circle the other one changes too.

Maybe you can upload a sample file that will do what you say.

I'm on Mac by the way.

Thanks for the reply. I went back and tried it again and recorded what is happening. Through the process of doing this that it seems that specifically the stroke is becoming unlinked. The symbol itself can still be changed in size and it will affect all other. Honestly when I had noticed this all happening before I do not know if it was only the stroke or everything that was becoming unlinked. Anyway I am attaching a video to show what I am seeing.

I am also on a mac.
