From what I have seen so far, the only thing that is missing from Affinity is animation. That should put you up with some of the rental programs that are out there.

Any plans for this in the future or possibly add it to Designer?

Thanks, Ken

Hi,

in the legacy product drawplus animation (keyframe) was included, so for me it would be the next logical step and an alternative to subscription plan of adobe after effects.

So I would need also this features.

@SVG: I dont*t want use css and html, i want a desktop application to make animated motion graphics and such stuff :-)

many thanks and

best regards

george

I think you need to look for another app!

I would love to see an animation app to go with the rest of the Affinity suite.

It's not so far out really.

Creature House had an animation twin to Expression3 (E3 was the application that Microsoft Expression became and Affinity Designers direct descendant)  called LivingCells, that was very functional and was using the same basic underlying vector engine/content as Expression3. If they could do it all that time ago - I am sure it could be done again. I actually have that last version - but never used it. I animate in Flash (Adobe Animate).  Nowadays Flash is being strangled off in favor of 1994 level tech - for animators - but there is no really good new (html5 Canvas at least) development tool that equates to Flash. Almost looks like an opportunity for a company that may already have the fundamental underlying engine.

LivingCells is already becoming lost knowledge - but there is no reason why something like it should be lost:

Animation for the masses was made possible thru Flash. An animation app is a big ambition. But... Why not!
