AiDon
I get the following error when doing a HDR merge after selecting Natural effect and pressing Apply. Nothing exciting just 3 x JPG with deghosting and hangs after i select Develop. If you want the 3 images I can send them but I suspect this might be a general issue. The images have the following attributes: - sRGB Profile - 3983.0 x 5991.0 shown by Affinity Photo but it is actually 4000 x 6000 Note that I had to stop AP using the Task Manager as it hangs the application. The recovery, when I restarted, didn't recover the HDR merge but recovered the other image (screenshots) that I had open. The second time I just executed the HDR merge with no other images open it seemed to be OK. HDR Merge panel below. To recreate this error I do the following: 1. Create a new image from a screenshot 2. Start a HDR Merge with the above parameters 3. Apply the Natural Preset 4. Press Ctrl+1 and take a screenshot 5. Go to the first image created from the screenshot, expand the canvas with double height only, paste the screenshot taken of the HDR Merge 6. Press Apply in the HDR merge 7. Use Ctrl+1 to Zoom and switch to the screenshot image 8. Switch back to the Merged image and pan the image, it hangs Fault bucket 2276709397512278535, type 5 Event Name: RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: Photo.exe P2: 1.7.0.209 P3: 10.0.17763.2.0.0 P4: P5: P6: P7: P8: P9: P10: Attached files: \\?\C:\Users\donma\AppData\Local\Temp\RDR505F.tmp\empty.txt \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER5060.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER5070.tmp.xml \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER507E.tmp.csv \\?\C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\Temp\WER50AE.tmp.txt These files may be available here: Analysis symbol: Rechecking for solution: 0 Report Id: cd6db745-6fe4-42b5-8105-9398693f282c Report Status: 268435456 Hashed bucket: 6d60b234628f05cadf987f226f835207 Cab Guid: 0 Both PC’s Win 11 x64 System with Intuos Pen & Touch PC1 ASUS ROG Strix - AMD Ryzen 9 6900X CPU @ 3.3GHz. 32GB RAM- GPU 1: AMD Radeon integrated. HVDB Photography
HDR merge is not meant to use with JPG-files !!! Instead you should be using "Stacking: Exposure Merging" : Affinity Photo 2.3.1 Laptop MSI Prestige PS42 Windows 11 Home 23H2 (Build 22631.3007) - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.00 GHz - RAM 16,0 GB
AiDon
I think you should probably check your sources as I wanted to create a HDR image and apply HDR tone mapping ... Stacking Exposure Merging is simply for what it says. But, especially with landscape style images ... this is what happens: I also believe HDR merge accepts any type of image ... but NOT CR3! Thank you anyway for your Help. This post is all about a bug causing a crash. Staff Chris B Posted December 20, 2018 Staff Share Posted December 20, 2018 Hi AiDon, I logged an issue against the Windows version for HDR merging last week. On one machine, it completely locked Windows and required a hard reboot and on my machine (lower spec) it oddly pushed through after a 20 minute fight but it took so many resources from my machine, I had to soft reboot. I've updated the bug report with your info—thank you.
