Jacob Creedon
I'm performing a fresh install on a machine and I am getting a "Setup failed" error. I'm not sure if there is something I can do to get a more detailed error.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Affinity forums! First, what version of Windows are you running? It must be a 64-bit version. If not, you can't run any of the Affinity products. There are some other requirements of it's a version prior to Windows 10. Next, open File Explorer and type %temp%\AffinitySetup into the location bar. In that folder you should find some additional folders. Find the one with the most recent date and time, and open it. Inside you should find to files, Setup.log and SetupUI.log that will have more information. If you browser them and search for the word "error" you might find something that describes the problem. Jacob Creedon
Hi Walt, I am using WIndows 10 Pro 1803, 64-bit. I found the following error message. +Error: The cabinet file 'Main.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I had tried downloading the file twice the other day. Both files came back the same size with the same md5 hash (01e26aeb5c0a3f790f411360c341809f). I just tried redownloaing just now. It came back the exact same size but witha different hash (b0d6079faadc4316a325286a27e17d55). Not sure exactly what happened, but the install worked this time round. Thanks for pointing me towards the logs. walt.farrell

Does Windows agree that it's uninstalled? I'd the folder gone?
