Stock Vector EPS files rasterized?

Affinity Designer rasterizes stock vectors that are saved as EPS format.
Is there a workaround for this? I can't see it being an Adobe illustrator replacement if this can't be achieved.

Could you please provide a sample file so we can look into this for you? It depends how the EPS has been exported, and the objects contained in the file.

Thanks for the file, as I suspected this is due to the way the eps has been exported. Please see the below quote from one of our developers, Matt P.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your response. I really want to try Affinity Designer and having worked in graphic design/print for over 30 years (yes pre-dating computers even!) this is a real deal breaker. Being so entrenched in Adobe products makes it difficult to transition to Affinity with this compatibility issue. A real shame.

See also this related thread. - The overall problem is when file formats do have embedded proprietary data, which third party parsers often can't interpret/handle in the same manner as the originator of that file format.
