Af - photo 4 brief questions

Recommended Posts

1. I would like to know if you can create luminosity masks on the seperate channels in Af-Photo, similar to command click on the channel in CS3?

2. Is there a 'calculations' dialogue box, as in Image > calculations in CS3?

3.Is there an equivalent 'High Pass' Filter?

4.Is there a 'Colour range' as in Select > colour range' where you can isolate tones and colours and refine selections as with 'fuzziness' filter?

Since I only have a week to try this and time is limited it would be a great help if someone could just give me pointers to these particular queries.

Appreciations.

Microsoft - Like entering your home and opening the stainless steel kitchen door, with a Popup: 'Do you really want to open this door'? Then looking for the dishwasher and finding it stored in the living room where you have to download a water supply from the app store, then you have to buy microsoft compliant soap, remove the carpet only to be told that it is glued to the floor.. Don't forget to make multiple copies of your front door key and post them to all who demand access to all the doors inside your home including the windows and outside shed.

Apple - Like entering your home and opening the oak framed Kitchen door and finding the dishwasher right in front you ready to be switched on, soap supplied, and water that comes through a water softener.  Ah the front door key is yours and it only needs to open the front door.

Most things can be done in one or other way here (often many different roads lead to Rome). Since I don't use/know PS CS3 specifics that well, I just point you into possible equally directions here.

  1. See the following for luminosity masks:
    - Luminosity Masks- Affinity Photo - Luminosity Masks
    - Using the Blend Range Tool as a Luminosity Mask
    - Luminosity Masks (forum)
    - Channels for Alpha masking
    - ...and so on...
  2. Not sure for this here, maybe there is something which offers or yields to the same results
  3. See here for High Pass filter:
    - High Pass Filter meets Dodge and Burn
    - High Pass Filter (help)

  4. See here for color range:
    - Selection by Colour Range with Affinity Photo
    - Color Range selection (forum)

If you search after those topics in the forum here or on the net (Google), you will find quite more related information sources about those things!
