jc4d
Hi all, Is there a way to clone a layer?. Let me explain further, let's say I have a layer or layer group and I want to have many clones of that layer/group in a picture and if I need to change the looks of all of them I go to the parent one and all the clones will update. Something like instances in Designer. I hope this makes sense Cheers, Juan
Staff Gabe Posted December 12, 2018 Staff Share Posted December 12, 2018 Hi @jc4d, I'm afraid no. Symbols are only an option in Designer and not Photo. Thanks, Gabe. jc4d

Photo, like a photo editor, will always be weaker for drawing and graphics. I understand, but from my point of view a clone layer or virtual layer is feature that is not related exclusively to graphics, it is just a generic feature. At the end it could be like the smart objects in PS where if you have many duplicated layers of the same smart object and you change the original one, all of them will be updated accordingly.
