Check if exported pdf is RGB or CMYK?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to Affinity designer, so apologies if this is obvious.

I've created some documents for print - having set them up as CMYK/8.   I then export them to pdf using the export command (Not rasterized).

However, when I send them to my print company they say that they aren't CMYK.  Is there a way to check? I thought that if a document was created as CMYK, that colour setting would pass through to the PDF?

Any guidance would be welcome,

Thanks,

Dan

If you import that PDF back to Designer, you should see the colour space Document Setup > Colour. Alternatively, you can attach it here and we can have a look.

@dhb it's a good tip but you must remeber to select "estimate" in "colour space" field while importing
