romanp Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I drew a bunch of hexagons in a row. When I select one I get access to its stroke properties, like color. When I select two I can't get access to color anymore. How do I change the stroke color of many polygons selected? See attached screenshots for clarification. Quote
carl123 Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Switch to the colour panel (on the right) and change the Stroke colour there gdenby 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. gdenby Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Or, w. the objects selected, change to the fill tool, and change color and fill type there also. firstdefence Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Its because you have 2 objects selected, if you select an individual Hexagon it will show the stroke and fill options. You could make a symbol out of a shape and then power duplicate that symbol, you only need to change one instance to change them all. v_kyr Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Another possibility is, beside those already named above, to make a custom color style and apply that then to all the selected hexagons with one press. romanp Posted December 10, 2018 Author Posted December 10, 2018 Thanks for the replies, that solved it. If Affinity is paying attention, changing primary UI based on selection state of the same thing should not change the UI. velarde 1 Quote
R C-R Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Yet another way: Set the Tools panel to use 2 or more columns & a color well like the one in the Color Studio panel will be added at the bottom of the Tools panel. Like the one in the Color Studio panel, double-clicking on a color well will open the Color Chooser window: 3 hours ago, romanp said: Affinity is paying attention, changing primary UI based on selection state of the same thing should not change the UI. As its name suggests, the content of the Context Toolbar (where Polygon, 2 Objects, etc. appear) changes depending on the current context of the UI -- the persona, the selected tool, the number of select items, etc. Since the context is different with two or more items selected than with a single one, the contents of that toolbar also change.
