Loosing quality when exporting

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

I would like to know why sometime I loose quality when exporting my photo to the computer?

When this happen, I try every exporting ways with Bilinear, Bicubic and Lanczos 3 but nothing change.

Also, pretty much every time, I loose quality when I go from "Develop Persona" to "Photo Persona".

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thank you for your help

Hi n.l.83,

Can you attach an original image that shows this loss of quality when exported and also give the workflow you are taking before exporting?

You shouldn't really lose any quality switching from RAW to Develop but if you'd like to attach a RAW file we can look into this :)

Hi Stokerg,

here is a picture that I worked on in August, I exported it at the time  at a lower resolution and got the right result. I now want it in full resolution to print it but I loose in sharpness. I tried different things, I added extra sharpness or export in low resolution again but nothing work

Thank you for your help.

Can you upload the RAW file to here to our Dropbox and i'll be able to test with the actual file :)

Also, are resizing the image, if so to what size?  It's very hard to spot any difference between the two images posted here but once i have the original RAW file, i'll look into this further

This is what made me think it was a RAW file and not a JPG.

What the steps are you taking in the Develop persona?  Also where are you seeing the loss in quality?  One final thing, you uploaded the .afphoto file which is fine, but the original JPG would be better, the link above should still work, so if you could add the JPG that would help.
