lifeofPI Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 In photoshop I can jump a selection to a new layer and save as a transparent png... I can't seem to do the same with Affinity...? what is the best way to create a transparent png from a selection? Quote
lifeofPI Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Yes I can and figured it out... thanks... Quote

Than export this layer. Keep care that "just this layer without Background" is selected. Quote OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW!

But yeah, DEFAULT is cmd+j, my fault! Quote OSX 12.5 / iMac Retina 27" / Radeon Pro 580X / Metall: on! --- WWG1WGA WW!
lifeofPI Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 Cmd J in Photoshop refers to duplicating a layer... why "jump" a layer instead of duplicate a layer? I don't know. The keyboard shortcut cmd j does work and I can duplicate a layer from a selection... not sure what was going on when I tried to do so the first time... evidently cmd d also duplicates a layer ... thanks for responses... I have photoshop on my iMac Pro but use a mac mini most of the time and have Affinity installed... Affinity is good for small projects and I can use on the mac mini ... but having to learn my way around.. tools, short cuts etc... Quote
