Monkey303
I've recently come to Affinity from a number of years using Photoshop and I'm kind of struggling with some basic functionality. I want to crop a screenshot. So I take the screenshot, open it in Affinity, then select the cropping tool and that's where the intuitive stuff seems to end. I'm sure there is a simple way to do this, but I've been going round in circles like someone that's never used an image editor before. On photoshop, it would be to select the rectangular marquee tool and then edit-crop, but, bizarrely there doesn't seem to be anything like that for Affinity? Another annoyance here, is that if you hit the del key, it deletes the image and if you then go to edit-undo, there's nothing to undo, so you have to load up the image and start again. Lots of videos on youtube showing complex cropping techniques, but nothing seems to show the basics. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be fantastic, thank you! If it is easier for you, you can also double click inside the cropping rectangle. Quote Windows PCs. Photo and Designer, latest non-beta versions. Fixx
Press Enter should also do the trick. Polygonius
