ianrb Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 Photobombed -- all was there but not like that -- can you see the main edit ? I was after the contrails behind the neighbor's tree which is a massive River Red Gum (Eucalyptus) -- glad it's not hanging over my house Honest comments (CC) and questions welcome another start to another drought day Now you will be able to work it out apart from the attacking little bird -- I find sky blues so hard to match up . How do you do it? Quote

ianrb Posted December 8, 2018 Author Posted December 8, 2018 this make it easier Sharky? middle part of the boring blue removed >hawk layer enlarged and rotated horizontally >harder part (for me) is blending the two very different blue tones/shades together Not many now, or notice how different "sky Blue" is across the sky and how much it will change during a single day . This is best seen by putting the two crops of one photo side x side --- LHS against RHS . To make it more interesting I have added the hawk and the blue around it as in the original posted photo As I often ask when helping with colour editing problems; "what colour is blue?" (or any color for that matter) Many cannot accurately remember a colour perfectly as they saw it . And I used that to my avantage in my picture framing days Quote
