Jeremy Bohn
I'm running Mojave and I don't have the Metal option either. Late 2017 27 inch iMac, Radeon Pro graphics. ALSO, I've noticed these 2 things: 1. No settings were brought over from the 1.6 version when I opened the beta. Everything was reset. 2. When I select a layer, and then press the Escape key, the History panel says "Deselect" but the layer is not deselected. Worse, if I keep pressing Escape, the History panel is filled up with Deselect, over and over. This issue was also present in 1.6.x

This is by design. The betas are completely independent of the retail versions, including all supporting files like those that store per user preferences, UI layout, styles, brushes, & such. So it isn't that anything was reset, it is that there were no settings for the beta app to begin with, other than the application defaults. Sharing the support files between the beta & retail versions could interfere with the proper operation of either of them, in part because the beta might include something unsupported in the retail app, & in part because if the beta crashes (which betas not infrequently do) this could cause problems with the retail files. jerryy
I am running into a problem using the crop tool. Applying it turns off the adjustment layers and they have to be replaced to regain their functionality. Those layers are editable, but making a change in their setting does not re-enable them. This occurs in both High Sierra and Mojave. I am including some screen captures to hopefully show this: before cropping: after cropping: some system info: Any suggestions? The adjustments are still enabled, but their built-in masks have been cleared by the crop. Cropping is also corrupting Pixel Mask objects. I'll post a bug report in a new thread. There doesn't seem to be a problem if you set the Crop Tools method to "Non-destructive". Thank you.
