Simultaneous move of nodes and objects

Originally discussed here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/74060-translate-part-of-a-drawing/

Imagine a complicated diagram with a combination of non-curve objects (rectangles, circles, text, etc) with curves overlapping or connecting the elements.  In editing such a diagram, I'd really like a way to move the non-curve objects (without converting to curves) together with selected nodes on curves.

There may be many ways to achieve it, one solution could be as follows:
(1) Use move tool to select all objects and curves involved in the move.
(2) Switch to the node tool to start node selection. No changes yet.
(3) Now during node selection, perhaps the non-curve objects could have a dummy node somewhere in the center of the object.  Maybe its better to call it a "reference node" or "anchor node." If that node is part of the selection, then the whole object can move along with the rest of the selection.

Thoughts?
