chrisv Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 On a few occasions when I create a new text frame on the same page as a previous frame the font changes to a very small font, 2.5. This has also happened when I've created a link to a new text frame. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to when it occurs. My work around is to copy and paste an existing text frame and then delete the existing text.
walt.farrell Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 That can happen if you: Create the first text frame, and then Resize it by dragging from the bottom right node (the one outside the frame) rather than any of the nodes on the frame itself. Resizing using the bottom right node is a "resize and rescale" operation. It changes both the size of the frame and the size of the text (font size) in the frame. However, it does not affect the default font size for subsequent text frames that you create, as would happen if you manually changed the font size in the Text Frame tool's context toolbar. The result is that the text in the second frame is smaller than the text in the first frame, as it's using your default text size, not the enlarged text size caused for the first frame by the rescaling operation. -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. chrisv Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 OK, thanks. That makes sense. I'll make sure I don't resize the frames with that bottom right node.
