MarkWilliams Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 Hi, I'm a newbie and learning basic stuff like storing paragraph styles for repeated use in book formatting. I've stored a couple that i would like to use, but they seem to go to the end of the list by default, and the list is so long that I can't see all the styles! I can scroll down to styles listed below my desktop (Macbook Pro) but I am not certain which one I am selecting. I even added AAA in front of the paragraph style name and restarted, but it is still down in the basement somewhere. In the absence of a change in scrolling behavior, can someone point me to the folder where I can delete some of the included styles to make the list shorter? Thank you! Mark
MarkWilliams Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 Answered my own question, thanks. Pardon a newbie, but I searched the Help menu for "Delete Style" and found what I need. It is under Text Styles.
MarkWilliams Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 Update - As I add chapters and illustrations, redundant paragraph styles seem to be automatically added. This has repeatedly made the list too long to get the last options in view. I delete styles I don't need to compensate, but deleting them one at a time is slow and the list keeps getting longer. I am now on a search to find out how to stop the styles from multiplying automatically.
