smart ojects?

You can’t use Adobe Photoshop ‘smart objects’ in Affinity Photo (either the desktop versions or the iPad version) if that’s what you mean.

does affinity photo for ipad have its owns solution for smart objects layers even if not photoshop compatible?  thx!

I’m afraid I’ve only ever used Photoshop Elements, so I’m not familiar with the details of smart objects’ capabilities in a full version of Photoshop.

Embedded docs and images behave similar in APh, though I don't know if the iPad version works the same way here as the desktop versions.

1, You could choose to duplicate the original layer first and then hiding, then make all the adjustments based off the duplicate.

2, Adjustments can be edited again after applying and some Filters can be converted to Live Filters.

3, Would depend on what you are wanting to update, could you expand a little.

Actions can also be undo using the History studio.
