anweid
In Affinity publisher 1.7.0.174 on a German Windows 7 (64bit), it is a bit cumbersome to look at any document page from, say, its right side. In Affinity Designer, which is optimised for single-page documents, one can easily create both portrait and landscape ArtBoards in the same document. This is also easy with Affinity Publisher and single-paged documents, but with facing-page documents, landscape mode apparently can only be defined for a spread and not for a single page. In order to, e.g., create a landscape table on only one (facing) page, the canvas rotation would come in handy. Unfortunately, one can only rotate right and rotate left by 15 degrees, so every time the document needs rotation twelve mouse clicks are necessary: 6 right mouse clicks for the local menu, and 6 left clicks for selecting rotate right. Additionally, finding the canvas rotation the first time isn't easy, because the rotation options don't appear in the main menu, but only the local one. Therefore, I suggest the following: Make the main menu entry Reset rotation a sub menu called Rotation containing the following items: Reset rotation (as before) Rotate left 15° Rotate right 15° View from left (equals an absolute rotation of 90° counterclockwise) View from right (equals an absolute rotation of 90° clockwise) View from below (equals an absolute rotation of 180°) This would make landscape rotation (and others) very quick and easy. Whether or not the same options should be available in the local menu I currently don't hold an opinion... For Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo, these options don't seem to be necessary...
