PROGRAM CRASHES WHEN USING WORD WRAP

Recommended Posts

Not crashing here on Mac, what sort of text wrap are you applying and how many text frames, are they linked or separate items? What sort of things are you wrapping?

what version are you are using on what OS.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Text Wrap works quite charming here with fill text. @dsahwahnee, is your page more complex?

@Old Bruce, in which way does the "sort of things" have an influence? I'd guess the demanding task is the textflow around the objects, not the object content.

"sort of things", A text frame, a picture frame, a cropped image, a filled path, a rectangle etc. You and I had no crashes occurring but I only tested with a couple of items and the crash could be caused by one specific item (Text Frame with overflowing text for example) which I didn't test for and wouldn't necessarily think of testing for. You have a shadow added to your objects, I didn't think to add effects. Is "Picture" an image in a frame, a placed PS file, a placed PDF, a sketch drawn with the pencil tool or a closed curve grouped with a Star Object and on and on.

I always think that more (pertinent) information is better for tracking bugs. Code is complex and there may only be one combination which causes a crash.
