Gerry Fraiberg
Is it possible to set and save Guides? I'm coming from Photoshop CS5, which has Video pages with Action Safe and Title Safe guides. Affinity Photo has new Document settings that include Web with a page preset of FHD 1080p (1920 x 1080, 16:9). I'd like to be able to have a default Guides setting so I don't have to enter manually every time. When I imported a PSD, it brought in the Guides so I got the settings: Horizontal - 54 px 108 px 972 px 1026 px Vertical - 96 px 192 px 1728 px 1824 px
HVDB Photography
Go to Vew > Guides Manager and enter the settings. These settings are document related. As far as I know, one can't save them as general default settings. So, safe your document as an Affinity native format for example "1920x1080.afphoto" and use it as a template. Gerry Fraiberg
Thanks. I just figured that out before seeing your reply :-) I also found I can save a version with Transparent Background. Lots to learn about Affinity Photo. This will be helpful as I create a lot of graphic and text screens for my video work.

Staff Dan C Posted November 25, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 25, 2018 Hi digitalscribe This isn't currently possible, however custom document presets are coming to Affinity version 1.7 and these allow for preset margins, but unfortunately not guides. You can try this for yourself in our current beta! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
