karlthefirst
Hi everyone, forgive me if there’s an answer to this question somewhere on the forum I’ve yet to find, but I’m wondering if there is any way to add/download printer and paper profiles for soft-proofing to the iPad version of Affinity Photo. I always save and then move over to my iMac for printing, but it would be great if I could do the soft-proofing and printing straight from the iPad Pro. Any options out there? Thanks in advance and happy holidays.
Staff Dan C Posted November 24, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 24, 2018 Hi karlthefirst If you open settings>colour from within Affinity Photo, you can import ICC profiles here which can be used for Soft-Proofing, however the iOS version doesn't currently support Printer/Paper profiles within the app, my apologies! karlthefirst
Hey Dan, thanks so much for the quick reply. So yes, I think I’ve got it figured out. I can soft-proof on the iPad, but then will still need to export to iCloud Files and then reopen on the iMac in order to do the actual printing. Does that make sense? Thanks again, Karl
Staff Dan C Posted November 27, 2018 Staff Share Posted November 27, 2018 If you require specific Printer or Paper profiles then I'd certainly recommend printing from a Desktop rather than an iPad Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.
