stackie Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Hello, I'm new to Affinity Photo. I have an Nikon D5300 camera and I always take pictures in the RAW format only. If I compare the histograms on my camera with the ones I get in Affinity after opening a RAW photo then they are not the same. Even if I switch off all the options in the setting of the Default Assistant (see attachment). What should I do do get the same histograms? Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 23, 2018 Staff Posted November 23, 2018 Hi stackie, Welcome to Affinity Forums We have made changes to the Histogram in Develop Persona for v 1.7 (currently in Customer Beta) - it's now presented in the output colour space. If you want to try the Custom Beta to check how it works for you, you can download it from this page. It can run as an independent app alongside your current retail version. stackie Posted November 23, 2018 Author Posted November 23, 2018 Superb. I will immediately check it out Quote
stackie Posted November 23, 2018 Author Posted November 23, 2018 Unfortunately the histo of my D5300 is still completely different from the histo in Affinity. Quote
Staff MEB Posted November 23, 2018 Staff Posted November 23, 2018 The camera histogram is based on the in-camera JPG/JPG settings (even if you are shooting in RAW). It will never look the same as the RAW based histogram you see on a RAW editor. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
stackie Posted November 23, 2018 Author Posted November 23, 2018 You're right. The histograms are far more simular now. Thanks. Quote
